DV Lottery - Green Card Lottery.
Diversity visa lottery also called as Green Card lottery is the next American Government's official visa lottery program. The date for the commencement and closing will be announced by the U.S State Department. This DV lottery program is designed to issue 50,000 immigrant visas in any given fiscal year, through a computer random draw to the eligible people from the countries which did sent less people to the USA within the last five years. Eligible people can apply for this lottery only through the one and only American Government's official web site through the E-DV application form.
Don't forget that a person can submit only one entry to the diversity visa lottery program as primary applicant. If more than one entry is submitted as primary applicant all the entries will be rejected with out notice. Also the State department is using many sophisticated methods to catch fraudsters.
Official web site of the diversity visa program will be open for to accept E-DV entries for a period of 60 days only. Each applicant will be given 60 minutes to fill and submit back the E-DV entry form after downloading it online. The American visa Lottery program is conducted by the KCC under guidance from the U.S State Department.
Results are expected for the last green card lottery soon and the winning notifications will be sent to the selected winners by postal mail individually. All those who are selected under this program and was issued with the case numbers and didn't attend the interviews can't benefit from the winning after this date. Get a student Insurance policy which will look after your emergency needs in that country.
Get your country police dept's travel clearance if it is necessary.
Keep all your Educational and other necessary certificates In English. If necessary get certified translation copies in English for those certificates which are not in English language.
Get a flight seat reservation for your estimated travel date.
Check weather your passport is having enough validity period. Renewing or obtaining a passport will be an expensive one than in your own country.
Get a medical certificate and vaccination card (yellow card)
If you are a married person with wife and children, check weather they can travel along with you.
Don't spend any money on college and ticket till you get the Visa, but can reserve them for you.
