How to check your DV Lottery result online?
Each year American Government is conducting a visa lottery program to issue 50,000 Immigrant visas to people who are coming from countries which are sending less people to the U.S.A. Those selected people for the program are notified through the postal mail. Also there is facility available in the internet to check the status of the DV Lottery applicants.
To check the Status you will need the following things.
Your confirmation number. This was given to you after your application was applied online. I you don't have this you can't check your status. Also this confirmation number will not be reissued at any time. The confirmation number will have 16 characters of alphabets and numbers, starting with numeric digits 2010.
2. Your Last Name/Family Name
3. Your year of Birth.
If you have all these go to the website http://dvlottery.state.gov/ESC/
When you are going to check your result better to use Internet Explorer or Firefox browser according to the official website..
You will get a box like this, fill the fields according to the Success page.
Press Next
It will take you to the next page.
There fill the fill the field with the shown alphabets or numbers or both.
If you can’t see them good press the rotation arrow button you will get a new code.
Once ready press the submit button.
The next page will show you the result as whether you are selected or not.
If you want you can check the result again.
