France immigration & tourist
Sri lankans ideal country for a vacation, they like to see the Eiffel tower and the country’s beautiful rivers. They Want to taste the French cuisine and wine. France is one of the most modern countries in the world and is a leader within the European nations. From 1958, it has constructed a presidential democracy. In the recent years, it reconciliation and cooperation with Germany have made economic integration of Europe, they made together the euro, in January 1999. Today France is at the forefront to develop a better European union.
The French Embassy in Colombo, Sri lanka issues following Visas to the selected people only.
1. Business visa
2. Tourist visa
3. Transit visa
Applications for business and tourist/transit visa have to be submitted
20 days before the planned departure.
The Embassy of France in Colombo is having a visa application centre
V.F.S. 367, R.A. De Mel Mawatha (Duplication Road),
Colombo 3.
This centre will provide all information regarding short stay visas
to France, Spain and Portugal.
Open Hours
Monday to Thursday 8:30 am to 2:30 pm
Friday 8:30 am to 12:00 noon.
V.F.S. will receive short stay visa applicants in order to advise them and facilitate their application. It will schedule appointments to be held at the Embassy.
It will be in charge of returning passports at the end of the visa process.
V.F.S will require a fee of 1.200 LKR plus taxes for its services.

although in a limited number.
NOTE:
Spouses of European Union nationals, holders of diplomatic/official passports travelling for official purpose and long stay visas applications (students, family reunion, etc) will not be entertained by V.F.S.
They are handled directly by the Embassy.
