German Goverment is going to increase the entry visa fees from 30 Euros to 60Euros soon (from 47$ to 94$). This because of the cost involved in the biometric data collection in the process of issuing visas in the Germany embassies and consulates according to the press release.
Many of the EU citizens and certin country people are not requested to obtain a visa to vist Germany.

Also in the announcement it clearly stated that the citizen of Myanmar should obtain a Transit visa if they are passing through germany. This is to prevent asylum seekers from Myanmar.
