Visa Service http://www.vfs-germany.com The German Embassy of Sri Lanka advises applicants in the process of applying for a Schengen Visa only after arranging appointment at the German Visa Application Centre, to submit visa applications at German Embassy.
This is in effect from 15th September, 2005.

Applicants for student, family reunion, scientist and long stay visas can apply directly at the Embassy. Appointment not needed
Time:- Mondays -Thursdays 8.00 am to 10.00 pm.
Schengen States (EU) visa fees revised from January 2007
NEW VISA FEES AS OF JAN 1, 2007
Schengen States Visa fees for have been revised, from January 1, 2007. As per Media release from the German Embassy of LK stated. Germany will be hold the EU presidency for 2007.
Fees of short-term visa applications to travel to the Schengen States will be changed as 60 euros for an Airport transit visa, Transit visa and Tourist visa (up to 90 days). The fees, to be paid in Sri Lankan Rupees.along with application and non refundable in case of rejection.
If Applying for permanent residency in the Schengen States are subject to the immigration laws of the respective Schengen Member State.Children under six years of age, school pupils and students and accompanying teachers on study or educational trips, as well as researchers:
