How visas Issued - Part 3.
Many people want to take a visa to another country while they are on
a visitor visa or on student visa and staying in one country.
For example a Sri Lankan citizen with a valid visitor visa is staying in
the U.K. He got an invitation from his close relative to visit their home
in USA. For the entry to USA the Sri lanka person will need a valid
visa. To get that the visa normally he must submit the application in
the Colombo Consular section.
This is advisable as before leaving Colombo must get all the countries
visas whichever their intentioned to visit. And the flight ticket should be
arranged according to that plan. Without prior planning getting a visa in another country will be a difficult task.
Most of the countries when issuing a visa look for the applicant's
bound address of the country, where he will return back after the visit
and his ability of living standard. So they expect them to submit their
visa application form in their own country.
There may be a chance; you can approach a consular section which is
in the currently visiting country and ask for a transit visa while returning
to your own country if the Airline can adjust your ticket route.
But you can't expect this to be a success when you are from a third
world country citizen.
